Good Gracious

A funny little piece based on poly rhythms.

Trivia:
The original idea was based on a unison of the bass line with the sprechgesang text line «Åssen går’e me’ morra ri’a?» (lit. «How’s yo’ mother?»). When this line was altered to «Du verden (så godt det her var da)» (lit. «Good gracious, how wonderful this is»), the bass line too was altered to stay in unison. The form was then changed ever so slightly, and one of the notes in the obligate voice played by the soprano saxophone was shifted.

In 2003, the title was changed to «Good Gracious», though the line «Du verden (så godt det her var da)» was retained in subsequent live performances.
