The name originates from a particularly large PC mouse.

Trivia:
The original title was inspired by a large PC mouse with the words “Turbo Mouse” printed on it. The melody was composed on an acoustic guitar in the room where the mouse was placed on a table.

The phrase “Türbø Meuz” is supposed to be pronounced with a French-German accent – [tyhR-beu myeuhz]. It provided the name for the character played by Owe Egon Grandics at Menu Bizarra´s world premiere version of this composition at Volapük, on January 29, 1995. Grandics´ character later appeared as a part of Menü Tizz Aura #2’s performances: in the composition Sentrifugalkraft, he recites the phrase twice in a southern Swedish accent: “Türbø Meuz, Türbø Meuz, jag är fri och ren, hurra!”

“Türbø Meuz“ is one of the most heavily reworked compositions in Jono El Grande´s repertoire, and it has been a work in progress since its inception. It has been performed, rehearsed or recorded in approximately eleven different versions. At one point, it was intended as a part of the opera «A Gangrene Hangover – The Ergot Opera» with lyrics («Moonstricktly in Love With a Figment Foetus»), which was never rehearsed or performed.

A variation on the opening melody line was used in «Rapphoenß» (1999 -).
