Album on which this composition has appeared: Previously unreleased The first idea for this composition was created and recorded in 1998 or ‘99 with the Ensonic Workstation synthesizer, slightly inspired by Bulgarian folk music. This demo recording was then forgotten and the original data exist only at a floppy disc and a mini disc somewhere in my vault. Ten years later I reconstructed the composition by memory and added some new parts to it with the Sibelius 6 software. When we recorded Phantom Stimulance this summer (2010), the piano player Stefan had to visit the doctor on the third recording day. This forced us to do the basic tracks for all songs during only the first two days. Then we figured that the bass and drums had time on day three to record additional tracks, which was when I told them to rehearse and record Borrelia Boogie at the moment (during this session we also recorded two other tracks that did’t get on the album, Pfote-Brei and Beyond Pornography Theme). We did not have any printer so the musicians are reading the notes from my computer screen in the studio. Also, I actually got a tick at my stomach the second night in Halden, giving the song the preposterous name.
